Abe used to envy the creativity of a friend
who staged the usual after-death celebration while
she was alive and could enjoy it. While he didn't
manage that, he would have been deeply pleased
and honored by the people, the words, the warm
laughter, and the good food that his friends and
family shared at a remembrance gathering on
August 4, 2012. On this website those who
weren't able to attend, as well as those who were,
can enjoy a reprise of the occasion, all but the
food!

The Gathering
You can almost feel Abe's presence in the room,
adding to the warmth, the liveliness, the memory-
sharing, and enjoyment of delectable food.

A microphone was passed around the group so people who
wanted to could express what Abe had meant to them, tell
a story about him or pass along one of his favorite jokes.
